Troy Animal Hospital/Bird Clinic opened in June of 1976. When Troy Animal Hospital started, it was truly a family affair. Clients checking-in to see Dr. Davis were greeted by Naomi, Dr. Davis' wife, and their five-month old son, Eric.

We have been an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) certified hospital since 1983. AAHA is an organization that sets standards of practice for member hospitals. These standards govern all aspects of animal care, recordkeeping, cleanliness and safety at our hospital. We voluntarily meet, and exceed, these requirements which allows us to provide the best possible care for your pets in the cleanest, most state-of-the-art facility possible.

The mission of our hospital is to fulfill the needs of our clients and their pets by providing quality health services and products through a responsive, professional staff with the emphasis on individual attention to the pet and owner and commitment to excellence and community service.

Since opening in June of 1976, Troy Animal Hospital has partnered with Brukner Nature Center, a local organization dedicated to educating the public about Ohio's wildlife. The Rehabilitation Center at Brukner is aided with the free treatment provided by the doctors at our clinic to care for and rehabilitate native Ohio wildlife with the intention of releasing them back into their native environments. The doctors here routinely perform examinations, x-rays, surgery and lab work on injured animals such as birds, hawks, toads, turtles, squirrels and rabbits taken to Brukner for rehabilitation and release.
